MATAMP GT2 MK II

The GT2mkII is an incredibly dynamic hand wired twin channel head drawing on the organic tones of the GTO, GTL, LX and GT1.

Channel one features a similar circuit to the lower gain GTO mode of the GT1. With more clean headroom available this channel provides an excellent range of sounds up to the point of heavy crunch.

Channel two adds more drive plus an additional stage of gain controlled by the boost control. Together with the included foot switch you can switch between channels and engage the boost to access three distinct tones live.

Perhaps you sometimes need a 100w twin channel head, perhaps the venue doesn’t require the volume – no matter. The front panel features two input sockets, one engages all four output valves for 100w while the other switches the middle pair out of circuit. You also have the triode/pentode half power switch to reduce power to around 25w or 50w depending on input socket used.

Full independent EQ and voice switch on both channels allow a vast range of tones. Relay switching is fast and guarantees no degradation of your tone.

Heavy duty transformers made here in the UK deliver awesome low end punch, dynamics and definition. Individual bias adjusters for each valve and turret board construction is proven to be easily serviceable on the road.

MATAMP GT1 MK II

The GT1 mkII is an incredible dynamic single channel head with the feel and versatility of a 50w and 100w head in one.

The GT1 has been around for over 10 years and has been our most popular amp for heavier players the world over. The only downside is it is very loud. Perhaps you sometimes need a 100w head, perhaps the venue doesn’t require the volume – no matter. The front panel features two input sockets, one engages all four output valves for 100w while the other switches the middle pair out of circuit for 50w. You also have the triode/pentode half power switch to reduce power to around 25w or 50w depending on input socket used.

The GT1 still features both GTL Master volume and & GTO Non Master Volume modes. The master volume switch defeats the master volume and removes one stage of preamp gain. The simple circuit allows the amp to respond with incredible dynamics and organic tone. The delivery through a 4×12 leaves lesser amps behind with a huge soundstage and incredible punch.

Full EQ and voice (works the same as Bass Boost on older designs) allow a vast range of tones. Relay switching vastly improves the tone and clean headroom of the Non Master Volume mode compared to the earlier version, perfect for matching with your favourite fuzz or overdrive pedals.

GREEN MATAMP GT200

The Green Matamp Bass 200 or GT200 as we call it. Now in the mkII version this amp continues to deliver awesome levels of classic valve bass power.

Responding to player requests the GT200mkII features a mid cut control for an even wider range of tones, but the big improvement over the earlier version is the power supply.

A huge C-Core mains transformer, made in the UK exclusively for us, along with massive filter capacitors ensure the amp is always ready to deliver it’s sonic punch. The bass response extends further, ultimately only limited by your choice of cab. The improvement in dynamic range and transient response has to be felt to be appreciated.

The voice switch is essential to matching the preamp to whatever bass you use, and the amp is happy with either or active or passive circuits.

Transformer isolated DI out as standard and the amp can drive 4 or 8 ohm outputs. We use the excellent Gold Lion KT88 that has proved very reliable with great tone.

Available as standard black or custom Green (as pictured), or with optional two band EQ from the mk1, this amp is set to dominate your live sound.

The Matamp Minimat is now in it’s 3rd generation. And it comes in three brand new flavours.

Built to the same levels of construction found in our bigger amps, the all new Minimats give high quality tone at sensible volume levels. Unlike some supposed UK brands, all of our amps are 100% made in England in our factory in the Yorkshire hills. Don’t mistake them for Far Eastern toy amps. The Minimats are true professional amplifiers in small packages. There’s no compromise on tone and quality like many other low powered valve amps. If you’re looking for a practice rig that delivers serious tone look no further, there’s a Minimat to suit you.

Mini-Pro

The baby of the all-new Minimat range is anything but tiny sounding. Featuring true point-to-point hardwired construction and carefully selected components. The Mini-Pro delivers an incredible tone and a surprising amount of punch from the single 6V6 class A output stage. The onboard attenuator lets you crank up and keep the volume down. (Please note that the attenuator can only be used with the 8 ohm output) If your looking for a pure tone, capable of delivering full cleans or fruity crunch this is the amp to choose. The simple volume and tone layout let’s you get on with playing. You don’t have to spend hours dialling in a tone, just plug and play. The Mini-Pro loves pedals, the modest four watt output let’s you drive it hard with your favourite overdrive boost pedals, or perhaps keep it clean and enjoy the warmth with a delay and some chorus. Whatever you want, the purity of the Mini-Pro will let you hear your pedals‘ full potential.

Mini-Verb

At last the Minimat many have been waiting for. We’ve even surprised ourselves with this one – foot switchable all valve reverb! We took the Mini-Pro and added a more flexible EQ and left enough space for a full transformer driven valve reverb just like you find on bigger amps. The lush sound of a spring reverb driven in this way takes the Minimat tone to a new level. This is the cleanest sounding of the new Minimat range. It still features the same class A – 6V6 output stage but gains an ECC83 to handle reverb duties. The tonal range is surprisingly broad for such a modest amp; clean blues, country and jazz tones are here and can be taken to the point of overdrive for a touch of grit. There’s a variable line out function that allows you to hook up the Mini-Verb to a bigger amp or to a speaker emulator for recording. The built in load means you don’t have to have a speaker connected for silent recording. You can even use the Mini-Verb as a stand alone valve reverb unit. By using the line out you can patch the Mini-Verb into your effects chain and get great vintage style reverb. If your looking for a small amp that’s not all about distortion, here it is.

Minimat 3G

The third incarnation of the groundbreaking Minimat. The Minimat was the first amp to offer big amp performance in a compact package, and the legacy continues. This all rounder in the range lets you dial up a clean tone and then hit the footswitch to access a variable overdrive boost, all kept under control with the onboard attenuator. (Please note that the attenuator can only be used with the 8 ohm output) Once again featuring the Class A 6V6 output stage paired with two ECC83 preamp valves you get all the warmth and punch you could want. If you’re recording or playing at home it’s possible the Minimat 3G could be the only amp you’ll need. With a little more clean headroom and a dollop of extra gain, the 3G has significant other benefits over the previous Minimat 2. There’s a variable line out together with an onboard dummy load so you can send the output of the amp to a bigger amp for gigging or to a speaker emulator for recording. The signal is taken from the output transformer so all of the tone of the amp is preserved. The 3G is the versatile choice from the Minimat range
